I've always been that "artsy" girl who can't help but see the world as one big blank canvas! Whether I'm painting, doodling, decorating, baking, or connecting with people—I'm all about adding sparkle, love, and splashes of color to life's sometimes black-and-white moments. (And yes, I firmly believe glitter counts as a neutral!)
After studying Art Therapy in college, I started my career in Denver and married my college sweetheart, Kasey. Soon after, we welcomed our two amazing kidlets, Chase and Kaela. The moment they arrived, I knew my heart—and artistic talents—belonged at home, where tiny hands became my best collaborators and daily messes my happy-therapy!
For 20 years, I was Denver's go-to girl for faux painting and floral design in the Interior Design world, while simultaneously becoming the neighborhood "cookie lady." If there was a school event, sports team celebration, holiday gathering, church function, or charity shindig—my sugar cookies were there! And let's not forget the weekly family get-togethers where I channeled my inner party planner extraordinaire!
Once our nest emptied (cue the dramatic violin), I wanted to keep painting but downsize my canvas. Enter tweets...cookie connection in 2010! I started using cookies as my mini canvases and hosting cookie parties to bring friends, organizations, and local businesses together. Learning from amazing Cookiers at Cookie Con has shaped my craft, and I'm still pinching myself over the design awards the Cookie Community has blessed me with!
The last 14 years? What a wild, sprinkle-covered ride! Tweets...cookie connection has grown faster than dough in a warm kitchen, constantly evolving in delicious new directions.
These days, I'm whipping up Monthly Doodle Connection Challenges with video classes, creating new products, expanding my tweets line of Ultra Fine Tip and Brush Tip Pens with more colors, debuting Tweenkle Magic Glitter (because who doesn't need more sparkle?), developing Tweets Activators and Dilutor Solutions for watercolor and oil paint effects with my new Tweetie Petal and Lustre Dust Edible Paint Powders, plus Blending Brushes for dry painting techniques... and so much more that is in waiting and just bursting to share with all of my sweet sugar friends.
